Dentsply Sirona Primescan 2 is a wireless intraoral scanner that creates detailed 3D digital models of the teeth and surrounding oral structures for digital dentistry workflows. It runs on the DS Core cloud platform, so scan data can be processed, stored, accessed and shared with dental laboratories and other treatment partners from internet-connected devices. No dedicated computer is needed for the scanner. Applications cover restorative dentistry, implantology and orthodontics. The ergonomic design and slim scanning tip make it easier to reach posterior teeth and other difficult areas, and the manufacturer states that a full-arch scan takes less than one minute. Using the cloud-based workflow requires an active paid DS Core subscription.
